Who we are

Pack Pals Co (ABN 63 218 701 712) runs packpals.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Your design details: the name, idea and style you type into the designer, and the artwork that's created.
• Order details: your name, email, phone, delivery address and what you bought. Payments are handled by Shopify; we never see or store your full card details.
• Basic technical information: your IP address and a small cookie, used to apply the daily design limits and keep the site secure.
• Messages: anything you send us by email.

Names and children

Most designs include a child's name. We only ever need a first name, nickname or initials, so please don't include surnames, school names or other personal details in a design. Our site is designed for parents and carers to use and pay.

How we use it

• to create your designs and show them on the bag
• to print, pack and deliver your order and keep you updated
• to answer your questions and handle returns
• to keep the site safe, apply fair-use limits and prevent fraud
• to send you marketing emails, only if you choose to receive them (you can unsubscribe at any time)

Who we share it with

We only share what each service needs to do its job:

• Shopify runs our checkout, payments and order emails.
• Google hosts our website and design files (Google Cloud and Firebase) and runs the AI that draws your designs (Gemini). The AI receives only the name, idea and style you type, not your contact or order details.
• Our print and delivery partners receive the print file for your bag and the delivery details needed to send it.

Some of these services store information outside Australia. We never sell your personal information.

Your designs in your browser

The "Your designs" strip and your preferred design option are saved in your own browser so you can come back to them. You can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for your order and as required by law (for example tax records). Designs that aren't ordered are deleted after 30 days.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@packpals.com.au. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
